1. “As always – The number one rules is: keep your guns pointing in a safe direction at all times, 100 percent of the time, no exceptions. On this range, the only safe direction is your targets, which are the targets in front of your bench. Once your gun is out of the case and visible, you must never allow it to point anywhere except your target. Don’t shoot across the range at other targets, only shoot directly in front of you.”

2. “Whenever the flag is GREEN (control) in the middle of the bench enclosure (or cones if applicable), that means the range is CLOSED. There is no handling of firearms and you must stand back from the benches or mats.” Note: The RED flag at the gate is a range warning flag only and will be displayed during the course of the event.

3. “Guns can only be handled when the flag is RED (control) in the middle of the bench enclosure (or cones if applicable), which means the range is OPEN.” NOT the Gate flag!

4. “If you take a gun out of the case and bring it to the firing line, carry it with the muzzle pointing directly up. If you want to remove your gun from the firing line, or move it to a different bench, a Range Officer must first clear your gun. You can then carry it with the muzzle pointing directly up. Do not remove any gun unless a Range Officer has cleared it and said CLEAR TO REMOVE.”

5. “Keep your guns visibly unloaded until you are about to shoot; this means keep a chamber flag in the gun, and keep ammunition out of the gun, until you are about to shoot.”

6. “Keep your finger off the trigger until you are about to shoot”

7. “The emergency stop command is CEASE FIRE CEASE FIRE. Anyone can give that command at any time if they see a dangerous situation, for example if you see a person in front of the firing line while the range is open. If you hear CEASE FIRE CEASE FIRE, immediately stop shooting and put your gun on the bench.”

8. “If you have any kind of malfunction, jam, misfire, stoppage, or other problem with your gun while shooting, keep the gun pointed in a safe direction, raise your non-shooting hand and wait for assistance from a Range Officer. Don’t try to fix jams without a Range Officer present.”

9. “There is a first aid kit and a defib in the shed kitchen if required.”
Eye protection and enclosed shoes must be worn by everyone on the firing line at all times, even if you are not shooting.”

10. “A final reminder of the number one rule: keep your guns pointing in a safe direction at all times”.

11. All spectators must obey the direction of range officers and minors must be always under the direct supervision or a legal parent of guardian even whilst in the camping area.
